Starbucks Card (issued by Tata Starbucks Private Limited formerly known as Tata Starbucks Limited) Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern your use of the Prepaid physical Starbucks Card (“Starbucks Card”). This Starbucks Card is the property of Tata Starbucks Private Limited (“TSPL”) to whom it must be returned, upon request or if found. The following terms and conditions shall apply to the prepaid account of your Starbucks Card. By using your Starbucks Card, you agree to the below mentioned Terms and Conditions. Please ensure that you have read carefully and understood these Terms and Conditions before using your Starbucks Card and also request you to keep a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your records. You further agree that by using the Starbucks Card or by quoting the Starbucks Card number to any of the TSPL’s store/s located in India, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the detailed Terms and Conditions of the Starbucks Card.
To be eligible for the Starbucks Card membership, you should be competent to enter into a contract i.e. you should have attained the age of majority according to the Indian law. Starbucks Card is not targeted towards, nor intended for use by anyone who has not attained the age of majority. Any person under the age of 18, may only use the Starbucks Card under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
About Your Account
Starbucks Card is issued to you by TSPL. This is a prepaid card which can be used as an ideal gift for your friend, loved one or for yourself. It allows you to load a rupee value onto your Starbucks Card for use at participating Starbucks stores. A Starbucks Card purchased in India can only be used in Starbucks stores located in India. Starbucks Card issued in countries other than India, will not be able to be used in Starbucks stores in India. It cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed unless you have registered it and reported the loss as described below. The value associated with the Starbucks Card is not insured or guaranteed by any person or entity, unless the card is a Registered Card.
The rupee value that you load onto your Starbucks Card is a prepayment only for purchasing the goods and availing the services of Starbucks stores in India unless otherwise specified. Starbucks Card can be purchased by paying either through Cash / Credit Card / Debit Card only.
Starbucks Card can be loaded using either cash/credit card/debit card at any of the Starbucks’ store. One Starbucks Card cannot be reloaded by using any other registered/unregistered Starbucks Card.
For an up-to date list of stores that accept the Starbucks Card, call 18602660010 or visit our website www.starbucks.in or check the Starbucks India mobile app. We reserve the right not to accept any Starbucks Card or otherwise limit use of a Starbucks Card if we reasonably believe that the use is unauthorized, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful. Further, misuse of the Starbucks Card or its benefits in any manner may result in the termination of the validity of the Card and/or withdrawal of benefits at the sole discretion of TSPL. Please maintain the Starbucks Card safely. You will only be able to protect the balance of your Starbucks Card by registering it on www.starbucks.in/card or on the Starbucks India mobile app.
Loading Value on Your Card
Starbucks Card can be purchased by paying either through Cash / Credit Card / Debit Card by visiting any of the Starbucks stores located in India. Starbucks Card can be used as a mode of payment, whenever the Starbucks Card-holder visits the Starbucks store. You may not load more than INR 20,000 (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) worth of value to your Starbucks Card. The minimum amount that must be initially loaded onto your Starbucks Card is INR 200 (Rupees Two Hundred only). Post the initial load of INR 200 (Rupees Two Hundred only), you will be able to load the Starbucks Card in multiples of INR 100 (Rupees One Hundred only). The balance on the Starbucks Card does not have a validity or expiry period. TSPL may change the maximum and minimum amounts at any time by notifying you at the point of sale, or on the Starbucks India website (www.starbucks.in), and such change shall not constitute an amendment to these Terms and Conditions. No credit card, credit line, overdraft protection or deposit account is associated with a Starbucks Card. This card is not a credit/debit/ATM card. The balance loaded onto your Starbucks Card is non-refundable and may not be exchanged for cash or credit balance unless required by law in India. No interest, dividends or any other earnings on funds deposited to a Starbucks Card will accrue or be paid or credited to you by TSPL.
All amounts loaded onto your Starbucks Card are held and denominated in Indian Rupees. When you make a purchase at a Starbucks store in India in a different currency, the transaction total is converted from the different currency to the Indian Rupees. No fees or other charges are made to your Starbucks Card for the conversion. The balance shown on your receipt will be in the Indian Rupees. Transactions that occur on our website are denominated in Indian Rupees. Currency conversions are based on currency exchange rates applicable on the date of the transaction.
Fees and Expiration of Card Balances
TSPL does not charge any fees for the issuance, activation, use or reloading of your Starbucks Card. Your Starbucks Card has no expiration date.
Receipts and Statements
Starbucks Card holders are not sent statements of itemized transactions on their registered email id from a Starbucks Card account. You can check the balance of your Starbucks Card or review recent transactions on your Starbucks Card at www.starbucks.in/card or on the Starbucks India mobile app. You will need to have your Starbucks Card available in order to make purchases for the goods and availing the services at Starbucks stores in India. The account balance for a Starbucks Card also will appear on your receipt from a point-of-sale Electronic Data Capture (EDC) machine. When you use your Starbucks Card, you will receive a receipt but will not be asked to sign the receipt. The receipt will indicate that the purchase was made using a Starbucks Card and will provide the remaining balance of your Starbucks Card. You should store your receipts and check your online statement to ensure that your account balance is correct
Billing Errors, Corrections
We reserve the right to correct the balance of your Starbucks Card account if we believe that a clerical, billing or accounting error has occurred. If you have questions regarding your transaction history or any correction, or if you dispute any transaction or correction that has been assessed against your Starbucks Card, please email to us at email@example.com. We will conduct an investigation and communicate the results and correct any error that we verify as soon as we complete the investigation. If no error was found, we will communicate an explanation to you. We shall have no liability for any billing error unless you provide to us notice within 60 days of the date of the transaction in question. You are requested to monitor your transactions and account balances accurately.
Registration, Liability for Unauthorized Transactions
To register your Card, please visit www.starbucks.in/card or use the Starbucks India mobile app.
You are responsible for all transactions associated with your Starbucks Card, including unauthorized transactions. If your Starbucks Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged, please access your www.starbucks.in account and report lost/stolen Starbucks Card from the website or the Starbucks India mobile app, or contact us immediately at 18602660010 or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your Starbucks Card balance will be protected from the time you notify to us that your Starbucks Card is missing. We will freeze the remaining balance on your Starbucks Card at the time you report it lost/stolen. You must then take a new Starbucks Card from any of our stores in India and transfer the balance from the lost/stolen card onto your new card from your www.starbucks.in account.
Blocking of Starbucks card:
TSPL reserves the right to block your Starbucks card and/or discontinue, if TSPL determines or observes in its sole discretion that there has been any fraudulent or unauthorized activities on such card.
You hereby authorise TSPL to disclose your information to Government authorities or to competent authorities or to credit bureaus or to other third persons, to comply with the obligation under the law. You also authorise TSPL to use your information for offering product and services to you, including from its associates/partners unless specified otherwise.
Changes to these Terms and Conditions
TSPL reserves the right to add, alter, amend and revise terms and conditions as well as the rules and regulations governing the Starbucks Card without prior notice, and without assigning any reasons thereof. In the event of such changes, the latest terms & conditions will be updated and viewed on our website www.starbucks.in.
Cancellation of these Terms and Conditions
We may suspend or terminate these terms and conditions and revoke or limit any or all of the rights and privileges granted to you at any time without notice or liability. Termination may also result from your fraudulent or unauthorized use of the Starbucks Card.
All disputes, in connection with Starbucks Card or its program shall be governed and construed in accordance with Indian Laws and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Competent Courts at Mumbai only.
Disclaimers and Limits of Liability
TSPL and its affiliates make no representations, warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, with respect to the Starbucks Card, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement, or any warranty arising by usage of trade, course of dealing or course of performance. TSPL does not represent or warrant that your Starbucks Cards will always be accessible or accepted.
In the event that TSPL or its affiliates are found liable to you, you shall only be entitled to recover actual and direct damages and such damages shall not exceed the last balance held on your Starbucks Card. TSPL and its affiliates shall have no liability for any incidental, indirect or consequential damages (including without limitation loss of profit, revenue or use) arising out of or in any way connected with this Agreement, whether in contract, warranty, tort (including negligence, whether active, passive or imputed), product liability, strict liability or other theory, even if we or our authorized representatives have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall TSPL or its affiliates have any liability for unauthorized access to, or alteration, theft or destruction of a Starbucks Card through accident, misuse or fraudulent means or devices by you or any third party, or as a result of any delay or mistake resulting from any circumstances beyond our control. TSPL is not liable for non-fulfilment of any terms in full or in part due to any reason beyond its control.
The laws of certain states or other jurisdiction do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply, some or all of the above disclaimers, exclusions or limitations may not apply to you, and you may have rights in addition to those contained in this Terms and Conditions. In such jurisdiction, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
The decision of the management of TSPL is final and shall be binding at all times.
We may assign all or part of these Terms and Conditions without such assignment being considered a change to these Terms and Conditions and without notice to you and shall be released from all liabilities The assignee shall have the same rights and obligations as the assignor and shall agree in writing to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
Entire Terms and Conditions, Construction
These Terms and Conditions is the complete and exclusive between you and TSPL, and supersedes and merges all prior proposals and all or any other prior arrangement/agreements. In the event that any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be determined to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision will be eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms and Conditions shall otherwise remain in full force, effect and shall be enforceable. Headings herein are for convenience of reference only and shall in no way affect interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.
Copyright and Limited License
Unless otherwise indicated, the Sites and all content and other materials therein, including, without limitation, the Starbucks logo, TATA logo and all designs, text, graphics, pictures, information, data, software, sound files, other files and the selection and arrangement thereof (collectively, "Site Materials") are the proprietary property of the Company or its licensors or users and are protected by Indian and international copyright laws.

Starbucks Card eGifts
The Starbucks Card eGift program allows you to purchase and send a virtual Starbucks Card via email through the Starbucks India Website and Starbucks India mobile app. You may choose the design and rupee value (within certain limits) and complete your purchase using a credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI or Wallet payment options available. You will need the email address for the recipient of your Starbucks Card eGift (also known as an "eGift" or "Starbucks eGift Card"). You authorize us to charge your credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI or Wallet payment account at the time you purchase your eGift.
We will send you and the recipient of your eGift an email notifying them that they have received an eGift from you. He or she will have the option of printing out the eGift and bringing it into a Starbucks store to transact scanning the barcode on the print out. The recipient will also have the option to register the eGift for use with Starbucks India Mobile App. An eGift is like any other Starbucks Card (with a unique Starbucks Card number) and should be treated like cash by the recipient for use at all Starbucks stores within India
